Product story
Every Bangladeshi woman has ornate saris to wear on special occasions. We source factory-rejected saris and transform these into ‘repurposed luxe’ products, using lines of perfect straight stitches in a traditional Bengali technique known as kantha.
These stunning pieces feature embellished borders, luxurious fabrics, hand-painted designs and unique local weaves. Even we don’t know what new design each piece will bring.
Each kantha item is painstakingly handcrafted by our team of artisans, and can take anything from two to thirty-nine hours to complete, depending on the size and complexity of design.
